Break Ke Baad

Aloha !

Starting with the old age cliche - Its been such a long time that I haven't written anything on my blog..

Yes, I am guilty of ignoring my blog completely for almost six months now but then everyone goes through transformations in their lives and this six months was my time of transforming. After procrastinating and aimlessly wandering I finally ended up with a decent job with Allahabad Bank. And 8 months into my new job which managed to make me completely complacent with my life, I confess that there is another milestone waiting, this is not the end of the road.

After joining the bank, there was a long three months training where I met some enlightened souls and they made me realize how complacent I have become, how I myself have put up a dead end sign to my career. This friend Rohit Raj talked about Indian Administrative Services with so much of passion that it made me think of chasing my long lost dream. A dream that I had buried long ago.

The spirit inside me got rekindled and the focus now has shifted to IAS.

Has anything like this ever happened to you? When you got a chance to chase your long forgotten dream??

Delhi!

Its a rare thing that we get much more than what we wished for!
The joy just cant be contained in when a long wished desire gets fulfilled!

Life has umpteen ways to surprise us - of course both the good way and the bad way!

My wish was germinating in my mind for a long time now, my best friend got married in New Delhi in 2009 which is three and a half years back and though we were still meeting once or twice in a year but that was happening only in Kolkata, means I still was waiting for my chance to visit Delhi so we could explore Delhi in our own ways.

It happened, it was destined to happen and the day was 29th November when I accompanied my friend for her exam to Delhi and the stage was set for us to Rock n Roll as it was my first outstation trip without parents and what i was looking forward to 5 days of non-stop fun!

As dreamed and as destined we surely had a gala time, though marriage of best friend changes some exterior equations but the internal connection hardly changes.

Top three lessons I learnt from My Delhi Trip

1. Its okay, some times friends can ditch you but you should forgive and forget. I had a terrible experience with the friend who had her exam in Delhi. We certainly didn't kiss but we surely did make up!

2. Time has super magical powers. There was a time when my friend had got married and she was completely new in the city and did not have any friends too. But time makes things settle and now she has a life of her own in Delhi

3. Its never too late to learn new things. My best friend she learnt how to drive from the scratch, though she was hesitant in beginning but now story is different altogether!
